On March 6, 2024, Vanguard Truck Centers opened its doors in Houston, Texas for an open house and customer appreciation event. Located at 12935 Crosby Fwy, Houston, TX 77049, the dealership showcased its commitment to excellence in trucking solutions, spotlighting Isuzu, Mack, and Volvo Trucks. Attendees were invited to tour the flagship facility, from the sales and leasing departments to the 45,000 square foot parts warehouse and 42-bay service shop.
Turnout exceeded expectations, with over 500 employees, customers and industry professionals attending the event. Guests included Stephen Roy, President of Mack Trucks; Peter Voorhoeve, President of Volvo Trucks North America; Tom Ewing, President and CEO of Vanguard Truck Centers; Will Blue, CFO of Vanguard Truck Centers; and John Thomas, Executive VP of New Truck Sales for Vanguard Truck Centers.
A sprawling tent, accommodating up to 250 guests, provided a welcoming setting for mingling and dining. Food trucks offered an array of barbecue delights from Pit King BBQ, burgers courtesy of Katy Sliders, authentic tacos by Lupe Tortilla, and funnel cakes from Funnelocity.
Vanguard showcased an impressive lineup of trucks at the event, including the latest models from Volvo, Mack, and Isuzu. Among them stood out two electric models: the Volvo VNR Electric day cab and the Mack LR Electric Refuse Truck. In a nod to Mack’s enduring legacy, also on display was a customized 1985 R-Model Mack Truck, proudly owned and restored by Clark Freight Lines Inc.
Vanguard extends its heartfelt gratitude to the customers who showcased their own trucks at the event. Vanguard and vendor participants generously filled SWAG bags, ensuring that every attendee left with a token of appreciation.
