On Friday, September 9th, 2022, all Vanguard Truck Center locations will close at 5:00 PM Eastern Standard Time and re-open at regular times on Monday, September 12th.
- Georgia and Carolina Locations – Close 5:00 PM Local Time
- St. Louis and Texas Locations (except El Paso) – Close 4:00 PM Local Time
- El Paso, Texas Location – Close 3:00 PM Local Time
- Arizona Locations – Close 2:00 PM Local Time
Why are we closing early?
For the past year, Vanguard Truck Centers has been preparing to convert our Dealership Management System (DMS) to a new, more modern platform. September 9th thru 11th is the final conversion.
Our DMS system is the core computer system that processes all of our Accounting information and business sales transactions. In addition, it produces all sales documentation like Truck Sales and Lease Rental contracts, Parts Invoices, Service Repair Orders, Purchase Orders, etc.
Why are we changing?
The new DMS provides new features, scalability, and functionality that will benefit employees and customers. It operates on a reliable relational database system. The open architecture will allow us to build integrations previously not possible and extend customer services into the future.
What happens on September 12th?
Change is hard, and there will be challenges and hiccups. But our dedicated employees are up to the challenge. They have been attending online training for weeks, but we know everything won’t come together without some hands-on experience. We ask you, our valued customer base, to partner with us during this transition, and we welcome your feedback to help us improve our processes. Moving ahead, we look forward to building more efficient systems and communications to benefit all of us.
